ASEAN convenes the 7th PSC Meeting of SEA-MaP to Review Project Progress

Video Conference, 9 June 2026: The 7th Meeting of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) of the Southeast Asia Regional Program on Combating Marine Plastics (SEA-MaP) was held via video conference, hosted by Myanmar. It was attended by PSC members from ASEAN Member States (AMS), the ASEAN Secretariat, the SEA-MaP Project Management Unit (PMU), and the Regional Implementation Support Unit (RISU), housed under the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and the World Bank as an observer.

First Consultation Held to Discuss Development of the Synthesis Document and Implementation Roadmap for Key Recommendations by the SEA-MaP Project

Videoconference, 30 April 2026: the SEA-MaP Regional Project organized the First Stakeholder Consultation for Development of the Synthesis Document and Implementation Roadmap for Key Recommendations by the SEA-MaP. In particular, the session focused on presenting key findings, seeking feedback, and validating findings of the draft Landscape Analysis and Risk Assessment (LAR).

SEA-MaP Convened Second High-Level Policy Dialogue and Workshop Series on Phasing Out Single-Use Plastic

Bali, Indonesia, 1–2 July 2026 – The Southeast Asia Regional Program on Combating Marine Plastics (SEA-MaP) convened the Regional Event: Introduction of the Regional Platform for Knowledge and Partnerships, and Second High Level Policy Dialogue and Workshop Series, bringing together representatives from ASEAN Member States (AMS), the ASEAN Secretariat, alongside regional knowledge partners and other stakeholders, in a hybrid format.
