Tangerang, Indonesia, 22-25 June 2026 – The SEA-MaP Innovation Expo III was convened at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), bringing together start-ups, corporates, investors, government representatives, and development partners to advance innovation and collaboration in plastic circularity across ASEAN. 

Held from 22 to 25 June 2026 alongside the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026, the Expo focused on the theme “Scaling Demand-Driven Innovations for Plastic Circularity in ASEAN.” It builds on previous iterations of the Innovation Expo held in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok in 2025, with a stronger focus on enabling market uptake, strengthening and supporting partnerships continuity. 

The Expo featured a multi-day exhibition showcasing around 32 start-ups from across ASEAN, including participants from Accelerator Cohorts 1, 2, and 3. The exhibition provided a platform for innovators to present solutions addressing plastic circularity challenges while engaging directly with ecosystem stakeholders. A dedicated collaboration space supported structured matchmaking, investor pitches, and bilateral discussions, enabling connections between innovators, corporates, and investors. 

 The Expo, held alongside GSDC 2026, expanded engagement with a broader range of stakeholders, including universities, businesses, and development organizations. The Expo also facilitated interaction with Indonesian ecosystem actors, supporting alignment between innovation solutions and national priorities for plastic circularity. 

The Expo marked the completion of Accelerator Cohorts 1 and 2, provided an opportunity to review progress from Cohort 3 candidates and showcased the latest developments of the beta version of the Financing Marketplace. The Marketplace is designed to facilitate connections between innovators, corporates, and investors across the region, while enhancing visibility of solutions.  

As the final Regional Innovation Expo under the SEA-MaP Innovation and Investment Platform, the event highlighted its role in supporting collaboration and innovation in plastic circularity. The Platform’s tools and networks are expected to continue supporting engagement and partnerships to strengthen regional linkages in plastic circularity.
